Bracelet Sizing
**** BRACELET LENGTH WILL BE ADJUSTED TO ACCOMODATE YOUR EXISTING TAG, PLEASE ONY GIVE US YOUR ACTUAL SNUG WRIST SIZE ****
No guesswork involved! Just give us your SNUG wrist measurement. It’s IMPORTANT to measure your wrist snugly and accurately, typically just under the wrist bone or where you feel it would be most comfortable. We will then add the appropriate length for a comfortable fit based on the bracelet type: – ¾ inch (0.75″) for all single wrap bracelets – ½ inch (0.50″) for all watch/stretch band styles – all double/triple leather wrap lengths will be also be calculated based on your snug wrist
- To determine your ideal size, follow these simple steps: 1. Wrap a soft tape measure around your wrist where you want the bracelet to sit – usually just under the wrist bone. 2. Note down the measurement in inches. 3. Refer to the size selection (in each bracelet listing) to choose the best fit. The total size (including tag) will always be shown for your reference.
For example, for a 6.5 inch snug wrist select: 6.5” wrist (7.25” bracelet)
- When we communicate size it’s important to remember that we will always factor the TAG into the calculations. • Remember, measure your PRECISE snug wrist size, not what you think the total bracelet size should be. • If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable wear.
Metal Finish
Our medical ID products are available in many metal finish options – (plain Stainless Steel, Rose Gold, Yellow Gold, or Black finish). The base metal in our medical bracelets is 316L Surgical Stainless Steel which is extremely durable, hypoallergenic, and can be worn in the pool or shower and will not tarnish.
- The rose gold / yellow gold / black finish is applied through PVD – an industry standard used by well known watch brands like Rolex and Cartier. PVD coatings are more brilliant and resistant to corrosion from sweat and regular wear than regular gold plating. It’s an ideal choice for medical ID jewelry and for people who never take their jewelry off, as it is extremely vibrant and durable for many years. (we have yet to have customers reporting any fading issues to us!)
Allergy Concerns
- For those of you with allergy concerns, the most common question we receive is regarding the Nickel (Ni) content in our 316L Stainless Steel. Although actual metal breakdowns will vary by product, in general the following is a typical composition chart of 316L Stainless Steel:
Element Type (%) -Carbon 0.03 max. -Manganese 2.00 max. -Phosphorus 0.045 max. -Sulfur 0.03 max. -Silicon 0.75 max. -Chromium 16.00-18.00 -Nickel 10.00-14.00 -Molybdenum 2.00-3.00 -Nitrogen 0.10 max. -Iron Balance
- It is also good to keep in mind that PVD coatings do a really good job at preventing (Ni) release (or any release) so there are many people who have little to no reaction to PVD coated 316L Stainless Steel with (Ni) content. If you decide to give it a try and still develop a reaction to the metal, please let us know through messaging and we can arrange for you to return / exchange your bracelet.
