Default Symbol #12 (Caduceus)

**** For Single Sided Cards, the reverse side (SIDE 2) will use Symbol #12 (Caduceus) from the “Available Medical Symbols” image, as the default symbol printed in full size – as shown in the product images. If you prefer any other symbol in its place, just let us know in the order instructions by referring to the symbol number you prefer in its place.

For example, to change the default symbol, just select the symbol number in the ordering process.

Use of Symbols on “Icon Panel”

MedicEngraved® utilizes uniquely created medical symbols and icons to emphasize important medical conditions and allergies.

The “Icon Panel” is located to the left of your medical information and is by default, AUTOMATICALLY populated based on the wording we detect in your message. So for example if you mention a condition like T2 Diabetes, we will automatically place the Type 2 Diabetes Symbol (#2) on the icon panel.

All icons will appear in the icon panel in the same order they appear in your message.

If you prefer to not have symbols on your card, or require a different symbol not shown on our list, please just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. You can even send us an example of the symbol you prefer using Etsy messages.

Engraving Size and Style

• We will engrave exactly how you would type the message in the Etsy personalization box, unless small enhancements or corrections are needed. We also do full spell checks on all common meds, etc.
• When it comes to UPPERCASE vs LOWERCASE, we recommend the use of UPPERCASE case only to EMPHASIZE certain words – where a contrasting character size may prove beneficial.

Black Laser Marking

Laser engraving involves using high-powered lasers that engrave onto the metal surface. Your message is permanently marked using a high-powered laser to create a precise black marking on the surface of the bracelet that is easily legible in all lighting conditions.

All of us at MedicEngraved® understand that purchasing a medical ID bracelet is an important decision. We take pride in knowing our customers are happy and have peace of mind wearing their medical ID bracelets.

• If there is any issue with sizing (no matter who’s fault it is) we want to make sure your purchase is done right and to your satisfaction, and we will do whatever it takes to make that happen!
• Where possible we will include extra links as a courtesy with your order – just in case they do come in handy! Usually, all you need is a bit of strength and a couple of mini-pliers to work the links in or out of a bracelet. We don’t expect all our customers to have the proper tools or skills to do this, but you might, or may know someone who can assist you!
• If you have any issue resizing, or your particular bracelet cannot be resized, then we will gladly send you a free replacement without a tag (or a full bracelet if necessary) – free of any charge.
• If you have any other issues, please let us know and we will do our best to resolve them for you. After all, having a bracelet that you can comfortably wear and be there in the unlikely event of an emergency, is the number one priority.
